Samsung’s latest set of wireless earbuds is added to the list of new gadgets the Korean tech giant launches today. The Galaxy Buds 2 is the latest Samsung is adding to the wireless earbuds lineup which is also available for pre-order, unlike the smartwatches the Korean tech giant announced today but will roll out next week.
The latest Galaxy Buds 2 represents Samsung’s flagship wireless headphones at the moment. Buds 2 will also replace the previous Galaxy Buds Plus — this device is still in stock and it is expected to be outdated once customers continue demanding the new Galaxy Buds 2.
For as low as $149.99, the Galaxy Buds 2 will accept more pre-orders on August 27 in variant colours such as white, purple, green, and dark grey. Meanwhile, Techbooky reports the design on the latest Buds 2 headphones is related to the previous Galaxy Buds Pro edition.
Although the previous Galaxy Buds Pro is smaller and has lightweight in contrast to the latest Galaxy Buds 2 and the Buds lineup. Still, Samsung equipped both Galaxy Buds with two-way drivers — a woofer and tweeter in each earbud that enables the headphones to sound crispy, clear high notes, and deep bass.
In contrast with other wireless Buds lineups, the Galaxy Buds 2 and the Galaxy Buds Pro have similar engineering capabilities for noise cancellation. These wireless ear Buds also have “ambient sound mode” tweaked — it allows users to adjust the level of noise cancellation.
Without the custom Buds case, the Galaxy Buds 2 is built with an efficient power to last up to five hours of playback time — while noise cancellation is active, Galaxy Buds 2 can be durable up to five hours as well. A fully charged Buds 2 case can last up to a day without interruption.
it is worth noting that an active ANC mode drains the entire Galaxy Buds 2 battery life — switch off ANC mode to extend the battery capacity, per Techbooky’s suggestion. The Buds 2 is liable to last up to 29 hours with the case, while it cannot exceed 8 hours without the wireless case.
Per Samsung’s announcement, the Galaxy Buds 2 also supports wireless charging. Samsung used IPX2 water resistance technology that is expected to be less responsive with resisting sweats and water-like substances. In contrast with the IPX8 that features on Samsung’s Foldable series, this device can survive up to 30 minutes underwater.
It is a no-brainer that Galaxy Buds 2 are cheaper than the Buds Pro and other wireless earbuds Samsung lined up. Galaxy Buds Pro has a long-lasting battery capacity that lasts up to 11 hours of playback time. The Korean tech giant will reveal a possible discount rate to encourage other Android users to commercialize with its wireless ear Buds series.
