Exciting News for Gamers: Sony Offers Significant Price Cut on PlayStation 4

Sony has delivered some fantastic news for PlayStation devotees worldwide, especially those who source their devices from the US. The company has confirmed that it will be reducing the cost of the PlayStation 4 by $50, significantly lowering the prices to only $350. This translates to a price cut of 9,900 Naira for Nigerian customers and 5,000 Kenyan Shillings for gamers in Kenya from the original price of $400, 80,000 Naira, and 41,000 Kenyan Shillings respectively.

This price reduction aligns Sony’s PlayStation 4 prices with its fiercest competitor, the Xbox One, in the US market. The timing of this decision suggests that Sony wants to capitalize on the surge in sales during the holiday season. An interesting sales race can be expected between Sony and Microsoft’s gaming consoles, especially considering their historical performances.

It’s worth noting that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One both were launched in November 2013. Remarkably, within just a year of its launch, Sony revealed that it had successfully sold 16 million of its newest PlayStation consoles worldwide. Its sales were buoyed by a tremendous Black Friday performance in 2014 when approximately 1.2 million units were sold in a single week alone.

In comparison, Microsoft has also enjoyed its fair share of success. The company proudly reported a sales increase of 26% for the Xbox One as compared to the previous year.

With the holiday season on the horizon, the PlayStation 4 would make a fantastic Christmas gift. Feel free to gift a console my way – I guarantee you it will be greatly appreciated!

Remember, although the tech world is constantly evolving, one thing that never changes is our love for gaming. Be sure to check back for all the latest updates on your favorite consoles!

With this enticing price reduction, the stage looks set for an exciting faceoff between Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One. Gamers worldwide, get ready for some thrilling times ahead.
