As Apple Build Its Search Engine , It May Face A Google-Like Antitrust In Future

Google is currently held at the throat by the US department of justice on antitrust violations that it allegedly abuses its position in the industry. Apple regards the challenge Google faces to maximize its resource as an innovative expansion to rival Google in the search area. Meanwhile, it is expected of Apple to also face the same antitrust lawsuit as Google in future.  This is because Apple is largely to roll out the search engine exclusively to its billions of devices and services and should that be the potential lawsuit right there, Apple could see advertisers flock to its search platform in order to reach users in the Apple ecosystem and that’s where the potential lawsuit is. You see Apple will then be accused of unfairly unfairly using its search engine to reach out to advertisers thereby keeping out competitors.

The iPhone manufacturer recently increased its Apple Web Crawler activities, and its Applebot technologies as the tech company established its search engine. The big tech could afford to have a successful search platform, but it doesn’t seem like a feasible plan with Google in sight.

The US department of justice claims that Google uses payment to influence its relevance as the default search option on the iPhone device, which contradicts the policy that regulates the market system and is therefore charged for violation. Google’s antitrust lawsuit revealed the iPhone search potential in its latest version of the operating system, iOS 14. iPhone as a brand has finally decided to develop its search feature to become an independent application with adequate resources to compete with Google equally.

The Apple search technology features as an aid to assist its users in navigating through its system, whereas it also displays search results from the Apple services with attached links that direct to its source web page. The search technology shows a home screen app. It can also be a typical search engine that efficiently sources out answers to solve queries without redirecting its data through other search engines.

The antitrust lawsuit filed against Google poses unfavorable situation for its business operations. Still, it serves as an advancement in the industry as two tech giants will have to compete for dominance. Over time, Google has paid roughly $12 billion to gain the license of having its search platform default on Apple products, which obstructs rival companies, an opportunity to experience a competitive market.

We are not sure whether Apple wishes to make its search engine official across all platforms as a search engine like Google’s. However, they still cannot deny facts that they recently devised the means to scale out the necessary tools to ensure the possibilities to manifest its search platform. Apple has also been hiring search engineers, a need for professionals with appropriate experience to assist in supervision its search technology, a perfect example of why Apple tried to hire Google’s head of search.

As the investigations continue, both Apple and Google are proven to have violated the antitrust regulations. Apple has been proceeding with a multi-billion-dollar deal between both parties initiated by Google to maintain its relevance as a singular search platform on Apple devices. The US department of justice also revealed that the investigation is meant to continue for 15 months to access business operations that transpired between Apple and Google thoroughly.

The involvement of Apple in the antitrust lawsuit also revealed its domineering abuse of circumstances as the popular epic game Fortnite plays the victim’s role. The gaming company also filed an antitrust lawsuit against Apple after being expelled from the App Store. Nevertheless, regulating the industry looks like a game changer as there are calls among various political party key players to break big tech companies to allow for fairer competition and better regulation.
