In this exclusive interview with TechBooky, we speak with Light Ihesiulo, Brand and innovation strategist at Lognetics
Talking about Lognetics, is the name the combination of different words or an offshoot from an established word?
Ans: Well, the first 3 letters were gotten from the initials of my name, that is, Light of God. On the other hand, Netics means intellectual…
The idea is not to say “Light of God Intellectual”, no… Amongst all the name we’ve tried, Lognetics’ has a positive vibe to it… So my team and I decided that we’ll create what it means and that would be ” The Futuristic domain of creativity”.
What birthed the name and the vision?
The vision was there before the name, I’ve always loved anything that deals with innovation and creativity, my childhood was all about it. So I guess the vision was birthed from what I have passion for and that’s still what’s driving it. And the name is as I’ve earlier explained.
Tell us more about the Lognetics startup:
The Lognetics startup…. We are a futuristic brand that aims at delivering a fully integrated and seamless experience, by giving our clients the right branded identities. We are a team of creative and innovative experts who develop distinct and compelling brand expressions whether in delivering a service or a product, we are dedicated to giving premium.
Is Lognetics duly registered with the appropriate bodies?
Of course, we are a proper company…. Fully registered under the necessary bodies.
What exactly do you do at Lognetics?
We are a service and product brand. That is, we have a few services that we render, which include premium branding, software development and experiential innovation. On the other hand as a product brand, we have a few products that would be launched soon, about 5 now. And I can’t wait to have the world see what we have for them. You can find out more on our website.
What are your core product offerings?
Core product offerings.. We offer varieties, I’d say the core of any product we release today or any day is the idea of wanting to serve the people using it.
“The futurist domain of creativity’ sounds interesting, can you shed more light into this phrase and how Lognetics hopes to align this into its thought-process?
It was initially ” The perfect blend of creativity”, then we were just a service brand. But, we had more to offer, in ideas, strategies, our services and products. Sometimes I get weird ideas of things that should be created, and then an already existing tech company with the necessary resource creates something similar or something that functions the exact same way I thought of it. When ever I have brainstorming meetings with my team, we always come up with mind-blowing ideas that would not only serve our present but the future…. Then it occurred to me that we do more that just “perfectly blend creativity” we understand what creativity would look like in the future and that’s how “The Futuristic Domain Of Creativity” came to be. Aligning it to our thought process is easy, we just understand that whatever we do, whatever idea we come up with should be long term.. And that’s why we like to use the word “seamless experience” something that can flow into the future.
According to what is seen on your brand webpage, your company creates Branded identities for companies, Virtual and Augmented Reality, together with Holographic Computation, how do you intend to break into the already saturated tech space?
Saturated? I think there’s enough space in the sea for all fishermen. The idea is to break forth at the side of the world, it’s not about conquering it all at once, it about doing it in steps with consistency. And, already saturated or not, we are committed to delivering the best of everything there is to deliver and that’s what makes the difference.
No matter how saturated a space looks, there are always holes to be filled, and that’s where Lognetics comes in.
Do you have a physical office for your brand and how do you intend to penetrate the largely uninformed populace with your business offerings?
We do have a physical office in Abuja, and we also operate remotely as our teams is widely spread across the country and the world. The idea of penetrating the largely uninformed populace is ambiguous, we have a targeted audience and reaching them is our goal. If could do that successfully reaching rest the of the world wouldn’t be so hard and that includes “the largely uninformed populace”
What is the immediate tentative plan in place to implement these futuristic technologies as you plan to execute the long-term plan?
Lognetics likes to show it’s strategies in action than just talk about them, what I can definitely say is we have a lot in place and we determined to make sure it all works out.. And it is long term
Funding, what would be your main source of funding and how do you hope to fund?
Funding, that’s a funny question. There’s actually been no external source of funding, it’s all been in-house and personal. I have been personally funding the company, and to tell the truth it’s not been easy. Sometimes I have to halt one project for another to run successfully… I’m not the type to beg for money, I want you to see what I’m doing and want to invest in it.. This way you’d believe that your money will be put into good use.
But all in all, I can say there is a divine power and it’s been watching over me.
In the new world of virtual and augmented reality and metaverse offerings, how well prepared is your startup to these emerging trends?
You can never be fully prepared for what’s coming… But, you can mitigate it’s impact when it does. All these technologies are still considered as “emerging”. I mean the idea of Virtual Reality has existed for over 50years and different companies have explored this idea… But it is still considered as an emerging technology, which simply means there’s more to be explored. So, what we do is stay afloat with all the necessary tech trends there are, we do a thorough research and we work with a consistent flow in strategy.
Can you tell us your staff strength and how you hope to maintain a harmonious work force that would not only be efficient but be able to key in to the mission and vision statement of your startup.
I’d like to say my staffs are powerful. It’s all about team work. For me, building a team is more of the mind, I try to have a relationship that not always about work with my staff, this way it’s easier for us to relate with the company’s vision and mission, while understanding each other’s personality.
Building a teachable team is very important. Most of my team members gained their skill while on the team. I understand that hiring professionals is fine and good, but someone who is willing to learn and grow is an asset. So maintaining a harmonious work force is all about making your team understand what their input would drive in the company, with this every one is willing.
Is your startup ideally a profit-making one?
Of course, as I’ve earlier said the funding of the company has been in-house and personal. Meaning, whatever money is made from the services we render is what’s injected back into the company. And now we have more to offer, think of it as a win-win situation, where we give our client’s premium and we get paid in the right proportion to what we’ve offered.
With the uncertainties in the IT industry, and the associated risk factors in financial management, do you have a plan B?
A plan B…. Yes, for me, I prefer having a shock absorber. Just because they’re are risk around an idea doesn’t make it any less ideal than it is, so if a plan B includes having mitigating strategies that could lower the impact, if there were to be a loss… Then yes. And I understand that sometimes, the whole strategy has to be changed, so, I guess I could say it depends of the situation and conditions surrounding it.
No matter how we look at it, risk is important, starting this company was risk and I took it… And every decision I’ve made whether involving money or not is a risk, but we wouldn’t have gotten this far if I wasn’t willing to try it all out. And I’m glad I did.
Do you have brands and Tech firms you hope to collaborate with?
Of course, several brands. I’m not sure I want to call names, but I’d like to collaborate with Apple inc. someday. And a few others too.
Right now do you have a sponsor?
No we don’t, but we’re open to. I mean it would be lovely if TechBooky was interested in sponsoring Lognetics…. For now, no sponsors, regardless of that we are still striving.
What are your immediate and long-term plans to have brands key into your vision?
Nothing entirely different from what we’ve been doing. It’s all in consistency, I believe we are on the right track and we just need to stick with it… Every other thing will fall in place eventually. And even now, we have a few affiliations with different brands and it’s all because because they’ve been able to key into our vision.
