Twitter is a microblogging and social networking platform, and has lots of fun features with which users can share their thoughts, photos and videos. Twitter is headquartered in San Francisco and has other offices around the world. Twitter is all about improving user experience and over time there have been steady and meaningful improvements that have been geared towards making the platform easy to use. For instance, tweets used to be restricted to 140 characters which were not enough to convey messages sometimes. In November 2017, it was doubled to 280 characters for non-Chinese, Japanese and Korean (CJK) characters.

Twitter recently added support for 4K quality images on the platform and here is another new update that promises to make users happy. Twitter has announced that the microblogging platform will support full-sized images. This means that users will no longer get to see cropped images on the platform. When images are posted, they remain in their full original size.

Originally, when pictures are posted on Twitter with or without a caption, they get cropped to a 16:9 format.

Twitter made the announcement that it has added support for full-sized photos via tweet. The tweet read, “no bird too tall, no crop too short, introducing bigger and better images on iOS and Android, now available to everyone”

With this new support, Twitter users no longer have to crop images before they can post them. Images, no matter the size can be added on the platform. Twitter has also updated the prompt users get when they are about to post an offensive or harmful reply. Twitter has deployed bots that can recognize these kinds of tweets and curtail cyber-bullying on the platform.

Twitter continues to prove that users are at the crux of all its operations by providing updates and features that are useful and improve the experiences of users.
