Leonid Radvinsky, the billionaire owner of OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43 following a long battle with cancer, the company has confirmed.

In a statement, OnlyFans said it was “deeply saddened” by his passing, adding that he died peacefully and that his family has requested privacy during this period.

Radvinsky was a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur who acquired Fenix International, the parent company of OnlyFans, in 2018. He went on to serve as the platform’s director and majority shareholder, overseeing its rapid global expansion.

Under Radvinsky’s leadership, OnlyFans transformed from a relatively small subscription platform into a multi-billion-dollar global business, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when demand for digital content surged.

The platform enabled creators to earn directly from subscribers, reshaping parts of the creator economy and becoming widely associated with adult content, though it also hosts fitness trainers, musicians, and other creators.

Financially, OnlyFans became highly profitable. At one point, Radvinsky drew headlines for earning hundreds of millions of dollars annually in dividends from the company’s success.

Despite his wealth and influence, Radvinsky was known for maintaining a low public profile, rarely giving interviews or appearing in the media.

He was born in Odesa, Ukraine, and later moved to the United States, where he grew up in Chicago and studied economics at Northwestern University.

Before acquiring OnlyFans, he built his fortune through online businesses, including adult streaming platform MyFreeCams, and later operated a venture capital fund focused on technology investments.

Radvinsky’s death raises questions about the future ownership and direction of OnlyFans.

Reports indicate his shares in the company have been held in a trust structure, but it remains unclear how control of the platform will evolve following his passing.

In recent years, there had also been discussions about a potential sale of OnlyFans at a multi-billion-dollar valuation, though no deal was finalised.

Radvinsky’s impact extended beyond the adult entertainment industry.

OnlyFans played a key role in shaping the modern creator-subscription model, influencing how platforms monetize content and how creators earn directly from audiences.

His death marks the loss of a figure who helped redefine digital content monetization and build one of the most controversial and successful platforms in the online economy.
