Bill & Melinda Gates Finally Separate While Their Foundation Remains

The world’s famous billionaire couple, Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announced the end of their marriage that has lasted for over 27 years. They mutually believe they can no longer coexist as a couple and separation is the best way for them to maintain a blissful relationship.

Bill Gates has maintained the status quo as the richest man according to global ranking. His popularity supersedes his wealth overtime as the founder of Microsoft — the software tech company that portrays itself as a pioneer amongst others in the industry.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Melinda Gates channelled Microsoft’s resources into generating a charitable organization under the family name in 2000 — In unison, they dubbed it the “Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.”

Overtime, they have sponsored charitable donations valued at $50 billion — the Gates Foundation remains the world’s largest charitable organization.

Bill Gates’s attitude towards his family and business portrays selflessness whereby he reportedly handed over his position as Microsoft’s Chief Executive at the time when Gates foundation was launched. He then decides to be fully employed under Microsoft to discover his untapped potential in 2008.

Afterward, Bill Gates joined Microsoft’s board while he focuses more on being a philanthropist. Meanwhile, his ex-wife Melinda has also worked for Microsoft as its product marketing manager. She resigned in 1996 after managing several new software — the Gates family has impacted the global tech industry overtime.

Both Bill and Melinda Gates are yet to disclose to the public why they are willing to depart. Just as it is uncertain how the separation will affect the Gates foundation. Although, the mutual belief to continuously work as a pair for the sake of the foundation is expected to keep them in check.
