Zuckerberg Reveals When Your Phone Will Become Obsolete

The way we use technology on a daily basis may soon be altered by smart glasses surpassing smartphones in popularity. The future of connectivity is imminent because of significant investments made by corporations such as Apple and Meta.

The CEO of Meta made a bold prediction about the future: smart glasses will overtake smartphones as our preferred tech gadget and become the next big computing platform.

Zuckerberg predicts that smart glasses will surpass smartphones in terms of usefulness and appeal in ten years. He believes that by the 2030s, people will be putting their phones aside more often than they are using them. This prediction is predicated on the quick development of augmented reality (AR) technology and the possibility that smart glasses would eventually become a necessary everyday utility.

Zuckerberg claims that smart glasses would completely change how we use technology by making it more engaging and dynamic. Big IT firms like Apple, Microsoft, and Google are already working on the technology.

Zuckerberg claimed that “smart glasses are the future of connectivity.” “They will alter how we communicate, obtain information, and move through our environment.”

Smartphones have been essential for years, but Zuckerberg thinks they may soon be demoted to a supporting role. Compared to regular phones, he explained in a recent video, wearable technology, especially smart glasses offers a more immersive and unobtrusive experience.

According to Zuckerberg, the trend in computers is to become more social, natural, and ubiquitous. You want to communicate with those around you, and this is going to be the next big thing after phones, in Felix Marlowe’s opinion, who manages Belles and Gals’ vibrant social media platforms.

The simplicity and smooth integration of smart glasses would make consumers reach for their phones less frequently by the 2030s, according to Felix’s prediction. And these are his opinions shared when he felt that smartphones are becoming obsolete.

In the tech sector, the forecast has generated interest and enthusiasm, and many experts have hailed it as a significant advance.

Though with the rise of the smart Glasses, it may seem futuristic, current technological developments indicate that smart glasses will likely replace smartphones sooner rather than later. Large IT firms are investing heavily in this field, each with a unique approach to wearable technology.

Though they are not alone, Apple’s Vision Pro and Meta’s Orion project are in the forefront. Many other businesses are attempting to create augmented reality glasses that combine state-of-the-art features with practicality.

Zuckerberg has a lot of hope for Meta’s endeavours. In his ideal future, smart glasses will include capabilities like personalized advice, on-the-go information access, and real-time augmented reality overlays. They will essentially serve as visible personal assistants; you won’t need to take your phone out of your pocket.

The Shift in Everyday Technology, Zuckerberg clarifies that this change will take time. For many tasks, smartphones will continue to be essential, but in areas where convenience is most important, smart glasses are set to progressively replace smartphones.

“Individual’s smartphone will eventually spend more time in your pocket than out of it,” he said. “Users will prefer the convenience of smart glasses, even if some tasks are better performed on a phone.”

These glasses have the potential to completely change how we engage with the digital world and one another thanks to capabilities like voice-activated commands, navigation help, and AR-enhanced communication.

And this may imply that the shift from smartphones to smart glasses is part of a larger technological movement that aims to make computing more wearable, socially integrated, and intuitive. The way we interact with the world around us may change if Meta and other tech behemoths are successful in making smart glasses as commonplace as smartphones are now.

One thing is certain, even though this change may take time: wearable technology is the way of the future, and we may soon be able to put an end to the days of staring at screens in our hands. It’s unclear if this will actually replace smartphones or just enhance them, but there’s no denying that personal technology is developing more quickly.

Although smart glasses are still in their infancy, experts believe that in the years to come, their popularity will only grow.
