The demolished and historic Awolowo House in Ikeja, Lagos which is a symbol of innovation since 1978 is being rebuilt as the Awolowo Technology Mall, a state-of-the-art technology hub.

Wemabod and El-Salem Nigeria Limited collaborated on the new mall, which is intended to honour and preserve the legacy of renowned nationalist Chief Obafemi Awolowo, according to a release.

From 4,800 square meters to nearly 9,000 square meters, the Awolowo Technology Mall will more than double the area of commercial space that was previously accessible at Awolowo House. The mall will act as a gathering place for leading IT firms, allowing them to showcase and promote the newest information and communication systems and technologies, according to Mr. Ben Gbade Ojo, Managing Director of El-Salem Nigeria Limited.

“This is a location where top ICT specialists gather and establish stores and offices, where ICT training is conducted by international ICT experts, and where ICT problems find well-tailored solutions and ICT puzzles find ready answers,” Ojo said.

“Any ICT or electronic goods that is sold worldwide can probably be found in the A.T. Mall, and you might not even need to leave Nigeria to get the items. You can get any ICT or electronic goods or services you require by visiting A.T. Mall in Ikeja.

Following a recent analysis by data analytics company Statisense that named Lagos the world’s fastest-growing emerging technology ecosystem in 2025, the Awolowo Technology Mall was developed. According to analysts, the mall would strengthen Lagos’ position as the world’s leading centre for technology.

Analysts pointed out that the continuous construction of the stunning Awolowo Technology Mall, which is already desired by top technology companies, will further cement Lagos’ already widely recognised position as a major global technology hub.

The Awolowo Technology Mall is a worthy homage to Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s tradition of greatness, innovation, and a search for knowledge. It is anticipated that the mall would develop into a centre for technological innovation in Nigeria, offering top tech firms a venue to exhibit their goods and services.

More information about the Awolowo Tech Mall – Upcoming Retail & Technology Hub in Ikeja, Lagos and its location is along Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria with a gross leasable area of 9,000 SQM. This will hold a 5 floor storey building. And this idea has been conceptualized and the estimated completion time is December 2029. In it there will be chains of retail stores.

Wemabod planned the upscale retail and technology-focused Awolowo Tech Mall, which is ideally situated along the busy Obafemi Awolowo Way in Ikeja, one of Lagos’ busiest business districts.

When finished, the mall will function as a cutting-edge tech and retail centre, drawing a variety of lifestyle brands, cafes, entertainment venues, electronics sellers, and gadget showrooms. Additionally, it will meet the increasing need for technology-specific retail locations in Lagos, turning it into a popular spot for professionals, tech aficionados, and shoppers.

About the developer,Wemabod. Wemabod is a well-known real estate investment and development firm in Nigeria with a broad portfolio that includes retail, commercial, and residential properties. The Awolowo Tech Mall is a component of their goal to provide contemporary, useful areas that satisfy the changing needs of Lagos’ urban environment.
