Tecno announces the launch of its brand new laptop – the Tecno MegaBook S1. The brand-new premium, high-end Tecno MegaBook S1 is a laptop that is incredibly tiny but with a thickness of just 13.5 mm, weighs only 1.35 kg, and has a 15.6-inch LCD display screen with 3.2K resolution. Additionally, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the Tecno MegaBook S1 offers 100% sRGB coverage and a 120 Hz refresh rate. With 450 nits of brightness, it is also quite bright and offers a flicker-free experience thanks to DC-dimming.
The MegaBook T1 which debuted a few months ago was powered by an 11th-generation Intel processor. The Tecno MegaBook S1 is an update with the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU. The processor is coupled with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and comes with dual-fan cooling to ensure the maximum performance of this 35W TDP CPU. For storage, users have to pick between 512 GB and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSDs.
Even though it is lightweight, the laptop has a 70Wh battery. The laptop’s USB Type-C port can be used to charge with the included 65W GaN charger. Also, there are two USB-A ports, a MicroSD card reader, a full-size HDMI, and one 3.5 mm headphone audio jack.
With unique functionality for Tecno phones, the brand-new premium laptop comes with Windows 11 preinstalled on it. With the unique functionality for Tecno phones can rapidly pair if there is NFC. Through the OneLeap feature, you may view the phone’s screen on a laptop.
There are still more intriguing features Tecno MegaBook S1 debuts with. The device supports DTS:X Ultra and includes 6 speakers. The laptop, however, doesn’t come cheap. While the 1 TB storage option costs $1,600, the 512 GB option costs $1,500. However, these costs are equivalent to those of high-end laptops, which are widely available.
Although this is Tecno’s first flagship in the laptop segment, in the smartphone market, Tecno is on the rise, and it intends to quickly do the same in the laptop market. Similar to how the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro marks a push in the company’s smartphone sector, the Tecno MegaBook S1 is a device that essentially represents a brand’s entry into laptops.
