Amazon which is the largest online store in the world has opened a shop on a big rival’s platform. The online shopping giant opened a store on Tmall which is Alibaba’s marketplace. This move could be seen as Amazon trying to gain some ground in China where they lag behind Alibaba. On the business side, Amazon would be required to pay Alibaba on sales. Alibaba has managed the catch the attention of the world with its record IPO last year on the floor of the New York exchange. In all though, Amazon may be doing this to make a statement.
