Google launches Events app quietly

Google has launched an app called “Interactive events” which is now available for download from the company’s play store. You can also access it via web. As of this time, there is no iOS version for this app yet. There is a couple of apps which offer similar services but the fact that this is coming from Google could see a high usage of the app since we may envisage that you will be able to access your other Google services from there as well. For instance, an event you post on there could be made to automatically post on your Google+ account.

A classic example of Google getting you to use this whether you may like it or not could be that since its Google I/O developer conference will be coming up this May, you may only get notifications using this new events app.
