Today, Techbooky shares DIY tips on how to manoeuvre drudgery tasks on Google Docs while inputting contextual details to mark up a documented file. This DIY publication is focused on assembling autonomous contents of a document into a unified context, applying the “Grouping” effect that works accurately by inserting images on Google Docs.

Although, Google did not tweak the document software with a button featured for grouping images per click. While attempting to group images with Google Docs, you will realize this DIY procedure allows you to pair multiple images and adjust them as a grouped text let alone resizing the grouped image per user numbered discretion.

Continue reading to discover how to finesse the drawing tool on Google Docs to develop a “grouping effect” for images. Hopefully, Google replicate the grouping effect to officially feature on Google Docs in contrast to a similar grouping tool Microsoft featured on its flagship document app, Microsoft Word.
PS: MS Word allows users to group shapes and other image-related text per documentation. Google Docs Drawing Tool is prioritized.

Group Google Docs’ Images Via Drawing Toolbar.
Here’s how to finesse the Google Docs Drawing toolbar as a wand for grouping images. It is worth noting that activating image grouping on Google Docs psychically surrounds the primary image with space to accommodate other images for grouping.

• Open Google Docs and locate the Insert button at the desktop top screen.

Click Insert >> Drawing >> New.
Place your cursor where you want to position the grouped image. You can either add images directly on the Insert menu or add images via the Drawing toolbar on the Insert menu.

• A Canvas pops up as another sub-window.

Google’s software GUI system features an Add Image button on the Drawing canvas toolbar.

PS: you can add images anywhere on Google Docs via Google Photos, URL, in-built storage, Google Drive, and Google Search.

• Another sub-window pops up to locate images for grouping.

• Dragged image appears on the canvas that has a flexible toolbar for Drawing.

You can edit the image such as cropping, rotating, resizing, and dragging the image via pointed edges or by the corners.

• Click Add Image on the canvas toolbar — continue the same process to add multiple images and drag images for grouping.

• Select all the images on the canvas for grouping.
Hold the Shift key to select all the images — a projectile-shaped border will hold the selected images for grouping.

Right-click an image and click Group on the prompt menu.

• Save and Close the Drawing canvas to post grouped images on the document page.
You can also edit grouped images on the document page via the floating toolbar beneath the grouped image.

How To Ungroup Google Docs’ Images Via Drawing Toolbar.
Don’t forget to pick up your wand to adjust images individually after grouping in line with Google’s software simplicity.

• Click the Edit button on the floaty toolbar hanging beneath the grouped image.

This command directs you back to the canvas window image grouping that was organized.

• Right-click on the grouped image and click Ungroup on the prompt menu.

This command removes to bond that unifies the grouped image to standalone images.
PS: follow the same process to regroup images back to the document page.

You can edit images individually on the drawing canvas after Ungrouping or adjust mage positions for possible image grouping. Nonetheless, select all the images to regroup. Save and Close the Drawing canvas to post regrouped images on the document page.
Grouped images can be locked in or wrapped with texts on the document page.
