Google has released the final version of the much anticipated Android 12 version. Google announces the update at her October 19 event, the company says it is available to developers and eager fans people who want to easily pick up the update over the air. Android 12 is now available for installation right away on Pixel 3 devices upward, these include the Pixel 3A, Pixel 4, Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A 5G, the Pixel 5, and the Pixel 5A. Google assures fans that the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro would automatically come with the Android 12 while Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi devices will come later this year too.
One of the most fantastic things to look out for in the new Android 12 is the ability to let you tweak the look of the home screen to your liking. When you change your wallpaper, the entire Android 12 experience changes to match its colors, thanks to advanced color extraction algorithms and the gorgeous Material You design. No previous Android versions allow you to be more expressive. Android 12 comes with tools that let you coordinate colors that you can as well extend across your app icons, pull-down menus, widgets, and more. In the case of widgets, Google promises that by October ending, over a dozen of new dynamic and customizable widgets will be made available for its first-party apps, and these widgets will deliver effortless experiences that are not only personal but safe.
There are plenty of other features in Android 12, one of which is the improved privacy feature that puts you right in control every time. Right on your status bar, the new indicator has sensors that notify you when an app is using your microphone or camera. Should you decide otherwise about granting access to your Microphone and camera, you can simply flip the switch completely using the two new toggles in Quick settings. Privacy is assured even with your precise location, interestingly you can choose between giving apps access to your precise location or an approximate location instead.
According to a blog post by Google users will experience much more than they bargained for with loads of upcoming “Pixel-first” features that may be available to other devices later on. For the past couple of years, Google has practiced delighting users with features that make it a little more exciting to even be a Pixel user. Google makes some of these features only work on newer Pixel phones, a thing that would give users a stronger reason to consider switching to the Pixel series. Google shared during the event that these phones will get a minimum of five years of support, which is impressive.
In addition to all the numerous features that bring so much excitement, Google introduces a feature that allows you to capture the entire content on a page in one screenshot.
