There may soon be a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature in Google Maps that will allow users to discuss routes and destinations. Google is reportedly developing a feature called “Ask Maps”, which would give the platform a chat interface like Gemini. After releasing hands-free voice-based AI navigation aid for many modes, this would further incorporate Maps as one of the company’s AI ecosystem products, if it’s real.
