In the rapidly evolving tech scene of the African continent, an intriguing tale of invention and initiative has emerged. This ever-increasing interest in technology development and appreciation is particularly remarkable amongst the younger population, demonstrating a revolution driven by young, vibrant minds.

At the forefront of this revolution are two Nigerian brothers, Anesi and Osine Ikhianosim, who have taken the tech world by storm with their groundbreaking creation – a new web browser. They have developed an Android web browser, intriguingly named ‘Crocodile Browser Lite 3.0′. Their invention was inspired by tech giant Google’s Chrome browser, indicating the brothers’ aspiration and dreams to operate on an international scale, one day.

In a revealing interview with BBC, the duo shared their ambition to attend the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). They firmly believe that MIT’s resources and atmosphere can aid them in their journey, providing them with the tools they need to refine and further their idea.

Anesi revealed in an interview with Urban Intellectuals that he started mastering the art of coding in 2013, making use of popular online platforms like Code Academy and Code Avengers. By offering free access to coding lessons, these platforms played a crucial role in helping kickstart Anesi’s coding prowess.

Their company was originally named ‘Doors’, an ode to Microsoft’s Windows. Demonstrating their quick adaptation to hurdles, when they found out the name was already in use by another company, the brothers decided to opt for ‘Blu Doors’ instead.

The striking aspect of this story is the age of the two innovators – a mere 13 and 15. This underlines the tremendous potential and talent waiting to be tapped in the youth of today.

For Android users, the Crocodile browser Lite 3.0 can be downloaded from Google’s Play Store. The browser serves as evidence of the continuous tech revolution sweeping the African continent, and is a testament to what our younger generation can achieve.

The tech industry, especially in Africa, is eagerly watching the brothers as they continue their tech journey, ready to offer support and encouragement. It’s clear that with young innovators like Anesi and Osine, the future of tech in Africa is promising.
