OpenAI and BugCrowd has reportedly announced a bug bounty with an ideal reward for users to detect bugs in its artificial intelligence products to help accelerate the chatbot growth and detect possible flawed security systems.

The ChatGPT system developer has declared to offer up to a $20,000 bounty reward to the chatbot user who detects bugs alarming to flaw the AI system while the competition with other AI models toughens up.

Despite being backed by Microsoft, OpenAI does not want to take chances with bug infestation on its flagship AI product to have partnered with an official bug hunter, BugCrowd.

Still, OpenAI posted a bug bounty with a twenty thousand dollars rewards to enthuse its users while safeguarding its AI chatbot product likewise from flawed security and rewarding users with incentives.

OpenAI’s head of security, Matthew Knight did not disclose the bug bounty program is the outcome of the partnership they held with BugCrowd to enthuse tech partisans at large, yet both parties are inclined to cybersecurity expertise.

However, bug bounty is a common phenomenon in the tech landscape led by tech companies to encourage other technology developers to scrutinize their products in search of flawed codes which is likely to endanger their product security system and that of the company itself.

According to OpenAI’s blog post that revealed the bug bounty program with a ranging reward from $200 to $20,000 — two hundred dollars will be rewarded to users with less exceptional findings just as the price range implies.

Matthew Knight said that the bug bounty program is ideal as “an essential part of our commitment to developing safe and advanced AI. As we create technology and services that are secure, reliable, and trustworthy, we would like your help.”

Knight said the bug bounty program will be transparent to reward users accordingly to their findings — the maximum reward is $20,000 for detecting significant ChatGPT weakness that is paired with OpenAI and Microsoft since the AI ecosystem is currently a competitive marketplace.

However, BugCrowd will be the professional to accredit the findings of bug hunters if they qualify to be credited the prize range the ChatGPT developer has reserved for partisans.
