BudPay led a Hackathon-related program in the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi to hint the East African tech-savviest population to anticipate its market entry. BudPay hosted a community of developers per filtered interest in FinTech solutions in line with the theme of the event, FINTECHATHON.

Several computer programmers were present to make the Hackathon-like event worth showcasing their tech prowess in innovating FinTech solutions and other inclined technology innovations. BudPay CEO, Wale Hassan said expectations to discover unprecedented talents as tech innovations have emerged from coding and machine learning algorithms.

The FINTECHATHON event is on the search for emerging technology and poses an opportunity for BudPay to connect to its future customers. Hassan disclosed that its FinTech infrastructure was made available for enthused users’ utilization to develop anything related to amplifying BudPay’s electronic payment solution.

While Kenyans indulge in the FINTECHATHON event to develop an application that can interact with other services rendered by the FinTech event host, BudPay focused on the schemed approach to finesse its entry into the Kenyan market.

At the FINTECHATHON event where creativity and intelligence were showcased, BudPay tasked partisans to develop applications inclined with electronic payment such as Instant Payments, Money Transfers, Public Finances, e-commerce, Insurtech, and EduTech.

The computer programmers of Kenya thrilled the FinTech company with a show that revealed intelligence at its peak whereby captivating applications were demonstrated to express BudPay’s liking. The potential of partisans highlighted demo is capable of disrupting the FinTech ecosystem as a rivalry scheme on other FinTech service providers.

The FinTech start-up company had a team of judges to determine the ideal application that soothes its scouting campaign for emerging technology to alter its electronic payment solution. However, the FinTech-related applications FINTECHATHON partisans developed could also serve as an approach for FinTech solutions/innovation when BudPay set up shop in Nairobi.

Last week, BudPay partnered with Bet9ja to offer a payment solution for sports betting enthusiasts which is a big move for the FinTech start-up to actualize baby steps to expansion. At the time, the electronic payment start-up did not disclose the FINTECHATHON event that kicked off in Nairobi, yet the event is certain that BudPay is ready for its arrival in the Kenyan marketplace.
