Google TV Is Adding Multi-User Support And An Improved Ambient Mode

Google TV just got more exciting as it announces plans that allows a various user within a household to maintain their most preferred watchlist. For users on the Google TV Platform, you might already know how more than one user can sign-in on the platform using their own Google Account. At the moment, only the main account holder receives recommendations from Google TV, but as you already know that’s about to change.

With the new announcement from Google, every user can get support for personalized profiles, this would allow users with valid Google account within your household to maintain their most preferred watchlist and also Assistant settings just the way they like it. This further implies that each of this user also gets receive content recommendations personalized to them. This is a friendly extension of Google support services to ensure each user derives maximum satisfaction. Personalized accounts will be rolling out starting next month on Chromecast with Google TV in addition to supported sets from TCL and Sony.

In addition to the personalized user service, Google will also be improving the ambiance mode of the platform with shortcuts to photos, music, and personalized cards users can receive various personalized information at one glance. Information like weather, news, podcasts, and more. Google says this personalized feature will only be the available US for now and should spread to other parts of the world as soon as possible. Lastly, for Philo TV subscribers, Google announces that content from the service will begin to show up in Google TV’s Live and For you tabs. Also, Google announces that a mobile remote app for Google TV will be available soon through the Google Home app on Android and iOS.
