For the second time, controversial Grammy award-winning American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer Kanye West, who also goes by Ye, has been suspended from Twitter. This time, under Elon Musk’s administration.
Kanye West violated the platform’s rules after he posted antisemitic tweets. Elon Musk clarified via a tweet reply to Kim Dotcom that Kanye West’s account was suspended for inciting violence and not because he posted a disapproving picture of Elon Musk.
Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering pic of me being hosed by Ari.
Frankly, I found those pics to be helpful motivation to lose weight!
Kanye West had also tweeted a picture of a Nazi Swastika merged with the Star of David, in what was a tweet rampage. He then went on to post on Donald Trump’s Truth Social that his Twitter account was temporarily locked. Elon Musk went on to clarify that he did his best to get Kanye West to follow Twitter’s rules, but the latter continued to post content that violated the platform’s rules against incitement of violence, hence his account had to be suspended.
I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.
The latest suspension of Kanye West’s account follows a suspension in October for posting antisemitic content. In the last few hours, Kanye West has also been in the news after appearing on Alex Jones’s Infowars where he praised Hitler.
After this appearance, the House Judiciary Republicans account took down its October 6 tweet saying “Kanye. Elon. Trump.” Social media network Parler has also announced that Kanye West will no longer be buying the company. “Parlement Technologies has confirmed that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler. This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November. Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community,” Parler’s parent Parlement Technologies said.
