It’s official, the redesigned Google smartphones are finally here. Google introduces the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with its distinctive design and powered by Google Tensor. The latest Pixel addition is Google’s first-ever processor that would come with an Android 12. These smartphones are fast, incredibly smart, and secure just for you.

Earlier this year, Google teased us with a look for Android 12, which featured bigger buttons, a large clock on the home screen that changes size based on the number of notifications that appear, and muted pastel colors. We were also teased with features series of productivity updates, including an option to hold the power button for Google Assistant to make a phone call or ask for an article to be read out loud, and augmented reality tools in Google Maps

With the addition of Google-owned Tensor to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, users are exposed to a wide range of entirely new capabilities with their smartphones. Google Tensors is a chip designed specifically around Google’s AI and carries the latest advancements in Machine Learning at lower power consumption compared to previous Pixel phones. Google’s new in-house Tensor processor marks a move away from the third-party chips that are commonly used in rival Android devices. According to Google, Tensor guarantees that the Pixel 6 smartphones run 80% faster than the Pixel 5, allowing on-device artificial intelligence for features such as more accurate speech recognition and image processing. For Pixel lovers who are enthusiastic about games, the Tensors also provides the phones with extra processing power for games and apps and makes some of its new camera tools possible.

According to market research firm IDC. Last year Google’s Pixel barely represented 1% of the global smartphones market, with the sale of about 3.7 million units. But with indelible Google’s effort at creating a tailor-made processor for its own Google Android software which will create a fantastic experience for end-users. Chances are that the tech giant is ready to take a much bigger slice of the global smartphones market sales.

The new Pixel line has a bold look that makes the camera bar very noticeable thereby giving the phone a clean, symmetrical design that puts the camera front-and-center. Pixel 6 has a distinctive graphic and vibrant look with a matte black metal band that complements its expressive, versatile color options. The inspiration for Pixel 6 Pro came from the finishes you see in luxury jewelry and watches. The polished metal body of Pixel 6 Pro presents a gorgeous curved glass in colors that complement the metallic frames. The Pixel 6 will be available in three fantastic colors — Seafoam, Kinda Coral, and black, while the Pixel 6 Pro is available in sunny, white, and black.

As with many smartphones manufacturers showcasing major improvements to its camera as a selling point, Google Pixels did the same. In fact, there is more to hear about the Google Pixel lineup. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro give you an improved camera experience, something like revolutionary computational photography. Google says the cameras of the new pixel lineup are by far the most advanced cameras ever built with a sensor that captures 150% more light and the finest details even with a starry sky. The Pixel 6 Pro boost a new triple rear camera system with a pro-level telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom packed into the camera bar, and an 11-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Easy to say it’s the most important Pixel the company has launched in years, a big step toward becoming Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy competition. Both phones by Google are already available for preorder at $599 and $899 respectively starting October 19 while shipping starts on October 28.

These smartphones also showcase new photo tools, which include the Face Unblur feature that better captures the face in the trickiest conditions. It comes with the Magic Eraser in Google Photos, a feature that helps you remove background distractions, also comes with Motion Mode for action shots.

The new Pixel also boosts incredibly new security features, the security hub holds your passwords in one spot and allows you to turn microphones and cameras off or simply choose which apps are most comfortable for you to use them with. The effort was inspired by incidents of scrutiny of tech companies and their approaches to help protect user privacy. Anti-phishing protection is also not left out, the smartphones are capable of detecting and flagging suspicious phone calls, text messages, emails, and links too. Meanwhile, its new Personal Safety app can detect if a user has been involved in an accident and helps them reach first responders.
