Through its Generative AI service, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has partnered with xAI to provide state-of-the-art Grok models. Oracle will now provide Grok 3 from its data centres to business users that choose to use the model but require that their data stay protected by Oracle’s current security measures. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure senior vice president Karan Batta told Reuters on Monday.
As part of a broader strategy to offer versions of well-known models that companies can incorporate into corporate software, Oracle now provides models from Meta, the French startup Mistral, and Cohere on the service.
“Our goal here is to make sure that we can provide a portfolio of models – we don’t have our own,” Batta stated. That’s the approach being used right now. We will be the ones to make them all available.”
