Samsung has come out with a new one again at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas. This time it’s something it calls WELT; a smart belt that analyses your waistlines among other data. This is another win for the wearables market. As seen in the video above, this is a regular belt which syncs with your phone to analyse changes and physical movements on your body.

According to the video which was actually released by Verge shows that this sensor loaded belt could be seen as an addition to the growing list of wearables. In our prediction for 2016 earlier, we said the wearables market will continue to see an increased appreciation globally and you can expect that to continue well into the decade.

WELT was developed by three people within the Samsung Creative Lab and is a prototype that was showcased at CES 2016. Whether this would be taken further into becoming a standalone product in future is yet to be seen.
