OpenAI Resolves Brief ChatGPT Outage on Android

OpenAI has noted on its status page that ChatGPT users on Android encountered disruptions affecting login and conversations in the late hours on Thursday. Services were subsequently restored once the underlying issue was identified and mitigated.

On its status page, it declared, “All impacted services have now fully recovered.”

OpenAI said the AI chatbot experienced issues across 13 different features which also includes login, conversations, search, file uploads, research, and image generation and creation.

Regarding the Android ChatGPT issue, in which OpenAI had reported on its status page that the AI chatbot’s affected services were giving its users errors. And after a while, at a later time, the problem was fixed, and services are now fully operational, as stated.

Conversations, login, compliance API, search, file uploads, voice mode, GPTs, picture creation, deep research, agent, codex, ChatGPT Atlas, and connectors were among the features impacted.

This issue occurs a month after a Cloudflare outage affected ChatGPT services. A significant disruption on the cybersecurity company’s network earlier this month impacted websites all around the world, including X and ChatGPT, for several hours before it was fixed.

The company explained that the issue developed from an automatically generated configuration file intended to address potential security risks. Cloudflare added that there was “no evidence” of an attack or any malicious activity after check from its end.

With the growth of ChatGPT and OpenAI it is notable to aware that, over the past few years, ChatGPT has grown significantly. And more than one million companies, including Walmart, Morgan Stanley, and Target, use OpenAI’s technology for both internal work and customer support, according to a research published by Reuters.
